听、说、读是英语学习的基本要素。大声地把英语说出来非常重要,而且也是学好英语的必要手段。但是说英语不是自己去朗读,而是要跟读。小时候学汉语,也是老师读一句,学生跟一句,熟练了才自己朗读。而且作为母语,本身语言环境的良好,不会担心说不出标准的语音。学外语就不一样,缺乏语言基础,跟读正确的发音就非常重要。因此,说英语的第一原则就是要仔细地听,进行大量的听力练习是学好英语的秘诀之一。然后,认真地模仿、跟读,而不是“创造”自己的发音方式。这就要求学生在听清英语录音的基础上,对语音、语调进行反复的模仿,并且坚持高声朗读句子来练习正确发音。每天至少进行二十分钟的跟读练习。
通过模仿和跟读,可以强化语音、语调的训练,培养英语语感,增强对词汇和句型的记忆,听力水平会有一定的提高。这样就渐渐培养起了读英语的自信心。
在跟读实践过程中要努力营造和谐朗读环境,培养朗读自信心;激发朗读兴趣;增强朗读能力。通过朗读来内化语言材料,促进听力和口语的进一步完善,充分提高阅读和写作水平。
二、阅读策略
《新目标英语》教材中的语篇阅读量不够,因此,平时要有意识的增加英语阅读量,扩充词汇量,培养阅读方法,锻炼并提高阅读能力。阅读材料的难度可由简到难。可以先读与自己阅读能力相当的英语篇章、书籍、英语期刊杂志。阅读的过程中,要适当做一些必要的笔记,以此积累词汇、熟悉句型。还要注意养成每天至少阅读一篇英语短文的习惯。
三、单词学习策略
《新目标英语》教材中的词汇量大,词汇复现率低,对词汇的呈现、巩固和系统化重视不够。为此,要运用多种方式,强化词汇练习。如:听写、分类默写、背诵、竞赛、游戏等。尤其要注意记忆单词的方法。常用的单词记忆方法有:读音记忆法;通过分类和联想的方法记忆单词;通过有计划的复习来记忆单词等等。
这里强调读音记忆法,即依据读音对词汇进行字母组合拆分法。英语是一种以表音为主要特征的字母文字,可以按字母拼读。表音文字,一般说来,书写和拼读应当是一致的,所以读音记忆法应当成为单词记忆策略的首选。读音记忆法的前提是读音要准。依据读音把单词拆分成相应的字母组合。例如,vocabulary [v?藜k?覸bjul?藜ri],依据读音将vocabulary 分成vo-ca-bu-la-ry 5部分来记忆。再如 pronunciation [pr?藜,n?蘧nsiei?蘩?藜n],根据读音将pronunciation拆分成pro-nun-ci-a-tion 5部分。采用读音记忆法记忆单词既简单又牢固。
四、语法学习策略
《新目标英语》教材中出现的语法知识不系统,每个单元的主要语法知识衔接性不好。不利于学生们对语法知识进行系统的学习和扎实的掌握。对此,在学完每个单元后,要对每个单元的语法内容进行总结和归纳,再集中做练习。也可以通过多种形式练习语法,如:翻译、句子改错、造句练习或作文等。
五、复习策略
针对《新目标英语》教材中任务型的教学与非任务型的考试相脱节的特点,可以对所学知识采用分块、分项复习法,尤其要加强词汇的反复练习。做法:留出时间——期中一周以上的复习时间;期末两周以上的复习时间。要制定具体的复习计划,提高复习效率,才能获得能力训练与优异成绩的双赢。
为检验平时英语听力能力、培养学习英语的兴趣。平时可以看一些英语原声电影(英语和汉语双字幕)、英语电视节目等。学习英语时间较短的学生可以选择观看简易、生动、有趣的卡通电影。在观看一段时间后,可以对影片的片段进行配音练习。以此来锻炼听、说能力;培养优美的语音、语调;增强说的信心;提高学习英语的兴趣。
以上谈到的学习方法和策略只是笔者的点滴感悟,尚有不足之处。仅供学习者们参考。但笔者认为引导学生学会学习是笔者的最终目标——授之以渔!

一、教学内容分析
本单元是Go for it七年级上册中第八单元“When is your birthday?”。单元的核心话题是谈论日期,课文始终围绕这一主题展开,我们要学习序数词的构成以及运用序数词表示日期的方法;学会运用 when 引导的特殊疑问句询问日期;学习名词所有格(„s 所有格)的构成和使用。语言知识和语言技能部分主要是围绕核心话题时设计安排了许 多听、说、读、写的任务活动,来不断丰富巩固这一话题的词汇及习惯短语。我将灵活运用这些活动,并将其中的一些活动进行变化或整合。
二、教学目标分析
本单元总体目标 :
通过本单元的学习让学生掌握所学目标语言;学会日期(年、月、日)的表达法;在互动的交流中理解生日更多的含义并学会谈论自己、同学以及父母家人的生日:学会自己安排作息时间。
根据《英语课程标准》关于总目标的具体描述,结合本单元的教材内容,我按认知目标、能力目标、德育目标三方面将本单元的教学目标细化:
1、认知目标
1.语音: 在日常生活中做到语音、语调基本正确、自然、流畅。
2.词汇: 掌握 1----12 月份的表达, 序数词 1----31的表达, speech contest, party, school trip, School Day,are festival, music,etc.3.日常交际用语:-When is your birthday?

在连惯的听说读写活动中,训练学生的逻辑思维,快速反应能力和实践能力 , 使学生能熟练运用新句型来谈论年龄和日期。

三、学生学情分析
本单元的主题是询问和谈论日期,围绕这一主题进行一系列的交际活动,使学生掌握日期的表达法,正确使用when引导的特殊疑问句对日期进行询问。在学习日期的表达法时要先学习序数词的构成,学生在以前的课程里已经学习了基数词,对于两种数词之间的区别一定会令学生感到头痛,教师要引导学生运用对比的方法,找出构成规律,总结特殊变化,对比强化记忆。
引导学生采用Role-playing & Comparing的学习策略,学习一些新的词汇,掌握一些重点句型,在师-生,生-生,小组的练习过程中,学会表达日期。同时,教师应从学生的生活经验和兴趣出发,在课堂教学中应设计任务型教学活动,体现以学生为主体的教学活动,让学生在完成各项任务的过程中自主学习语言,提高综合运用语言能力。在这一课中,我们可以根据情况设计一些实际操作演示的活动,教唱生日歌,月份歌,让学生自己带日历,问同学生日,提高学生的参与兴趣。
四、教学策略
《新目标英语》中的具体语言目标是通过各种各样的Tasks来实现的;整个教学过程中,各种语言结构、语言功能与不同的学习任务有机的结合。教学的实质是交际,为此我选用了以下教学法:、提问引入法通过提问,集体,分组,分行回答 , 或学生逐个回答的形式开展教学,检查和巩固新旧知识。、交际功能法通过集体,分组,两人,个人操练等形式,达到交际的目的。教学模式和教师特色
针对本课的内容,我采用了五步教学法:第一步:热身--激活旧知识,创设轻松活跃的课堂气氛。第二步:呈现--呈现新内容,感知旧内容;第三步:操练--用多种方式操练新知识;第四步:巩固--通过游戏,听力练习和笔头练习相结合的方式,巩固新知识。第五步:应用--布置任务性活动,让学生在用中学,在乐中学,学了就用。同时坚持“教师为主导,学生为主体,任务为基础”的教学原则,在课堂教学的不同环节教师扮演自身作为“设计者,研究者,组织者,促进者,协调者”的角色。所以本课时以任务型教学为主,融合直
观教学法,情景教学法和交际教学法,培养学生口语交际能力,培养学生观察能力、英语思维能力和动手能力。

根据对教材和学生的学情分析,本课时确定的重难点如下:

新版初中英语教材《新目标英语》问世之后以独特的视角和新颖的教学思想备受关注,让初中英语教学登上了一个新的里程碑。同时对广大初中英语教师也是一个挑战,因为该教材不论是从内容安排、还是教学理念上与传统教材相比都有很大差异,初次接触会感到十分陌生。这套教材具有一个非常突出的特点:“结构灵活”,给教师的教学留下了宽广的自主空间,教师完全可以根据学生的具体情况自由安排教学内容,调整教学方法,不受固定模式的约束。现笔者将从两方面谈谈对新目标英语教学的感悟。
1.要求教師能力强
初中《新目标英语》教材要求教师具备较强的能力,因为该教材的核心教学理念就是提倡教师在传授英语知识的同时,还能教会学生“能做某事”。教学方法要新颖、多样化,要运用幽默生动的语言提高学生对英语的应用能力。譬如在辨别-ed和-ing时, 我列举了这样一个句子,David与Sally两个恋人在看一场电影,男青年对其女友说:“The film is interesting and I am interested.”。电影结束之后,David向Sally求婚,Sally断然拒绝“You are interestedin me,but you are not interesting.”。就这样一个诙谐的例子,让学生在欢声笑语中分清了-ed是被动,-ing是主动的用法。因此,初中英语教师要改变以往的教学模式,根据新教材的目标的要求,深入了解学生的实际情况,重新定位自己的角色,采用新颖的教学方法。只有这样才能适应新目标英语教学的高层次要求,进而迅速提高学生的英语水平。
1.1要有很好的“方向感”
新目标英语教学把学生摆在主体地位,教师起着主导作用。这就要求教师具有很好的“方向感”,能给学生“领路”,并适时进行指导,让学生主动去学习知识,其中教师的指导对学生的学习起着决定性的作用,可以避免学生走弯路。而对学生的指导比单纯地传授知识难度要大,它需要教师对英语教材内容了如指掌,掌握难点和重点,并能针对学生遇到的问题,用恰当的方法进行指导。初中英语教师要培养这种良好的“方向感”,就要加强学习,树立“活到老、学到老”的思想,完善知识结构。唯有如此,才能在新目标英语教学中左右逢源、把握方向
1.2要有良好的示范能力
新目标英语教学要求教师具备良好的示范能力,就像篮球教练一样,不但要从理论上教会学生怎样打篮球,而且还能示范标准动作,进行合理指导。这种示范能力的培养,需要英语教师从听、说、读、写四个角度去提高自身的英语水平,因为英语教学的示范主要是培养学生这四方面的能力,只有教师具备了这种能力,并能及时给学生作出示范,才有望提高学生学习英语的积极性。例如,在讲授“doing”和“done”的涵义和用法时,首先我就示范说了一段英语对话,这段对话中包含大量的“doing”和“done”,让学生对“doing”和“done”的用法形成了一个直观的感受。之后我又组织学生进行对话比赛,最后我进行总结,通过这样的示范和对话比赛,大大激发了学生对英语的兴趣。
1.3 要有灵敏的观察力
在新目标英语教学中教师必须拥有灵敏的观察力,能及时发现学生学习中的“障碍”,只有这样才能及时对学生进行指导,提高学生的英语水平。但在给学生提建议时,要考虑到未成年人的心理特点,他们的自尊心、个性都很强,要注意说话的语气,不要伤及学生自尊。总之,教师面对新颖、独特的新目标英语教材一定要注重培养自身的观察力,让自己“明察秋毫”,否则将很难适应新目标英语教学。
2.注重学习兴趣的培养
新目标英语教学强调对学生学习兴趣的培养,要求教师在教学中能坚持“动之以情、晓之以理、持之以恒、导致以行”的原则,并把学生放在主体地位,想方设法调动其积极性,激发他们的学习潜能,在课堂上营造温馨、和谐、民主的学习氛围。此外,在培养学生学习兴趣时,要因材施教,不要“一刀切”,用所谓“放之四海而皆准”的教学方法去激发所有同学的兴趣。因为每个学生的思想、爱好都不一样,用一种方法怎么能培养其兴趣呢?必须根据学生的个体差异,有针对性地采取相关方式激发他们的兴趣。笔者常年担任初三年级的新目标英语教学工作,面对新教材,摸索了一些提高学生学习兴趣的方法。
2.1 增强学生的自信心
自信是人生成功的基石,学习新目标英语更需自信,因此教师在教学中要增强学生学习英语的信心。英语的学习本身就有一定难度,而新目标英语教材中就一直贯穿着通过增强学生自信,进而提高他们学习英语兴趣的理念,教师在教学中要多鼓励、多肯定、根据学生的具体情况设计不同的问题,当学生回答精彩时,我常用“Thank you”,“You are wonderful”,“Very good”等口语进行鼓励;当他们沉默不语时,要微笑鼓励、适时引导,哪怕是回答出问题的千分之一,也要充分肯定。通过这样的方式,能让学生获得成就感,对英语学习充满信心。只要学生有了学习英语的自信,就会产生强烈的求知欲,就算是再难的知识点也会被他们“攻克”。
2.2培养学生竞争意识
只要有了兴趣,学习上的难题都会迎刃而解。为了增强学生对英语的兴趣我们还可根据初中生另一个心理特点:“好胜心强”去采取相关措施。教师可利用他们这种心态在教学中用竞赛形式来激发他们学习英语的积极性。例如,可进行抢答赛、书法比赛、默写单词比赛、用英语讲故事比赛、英语单词接龙比赛,对于比赛优胜者进行适当奖励。 通过这些竞赛活动能激发学生争强好胜的心理,进而促进其学习英语的兴趣。
2.3 让学生成为“演员”
初中生喜欢模仿,教师在新目标英语教学中可让学生充当“演员”。具体可如下操作:在新目标英语教材中有很多生动形象、情节感人的课文,教师可把这些课文改写成简单的话剧,让学生扮演其中的角色,演课本剧。这种教学方式非常新颖,既能满足初中生喜欢模仿的心理特点,又能提高其英语口语水平。因此在具体的实施过程中将能大大激发学生对英语的兴趣。
3.结语
初中英语教师在教学中如能注意上述两点,定能提高学生学习新目标英语的积极性。
